Lifeguard Negligence
A lifeguard’s entire purpose is to prevent drowning. When that duty fails, the consequences are catastrophic.
How lifeguard failures happen
- Too few guards for the crowd or pool size
- Inadequate training or certification
- Distraction and inattention
- Failure to enforce safety rules
- Slow or improper rescue and CPR
Who is responsible
Pools that provide lifeguards must do so competently. Responsibility may fall on the facility, the staffing or management company, or the operator who understaffed or undertrained the team.
Proving the claim
We reconstruct what happened using staffing records, training files, witness accounts, and any video — and we measure it against the standard a reasonable lifeguard operation would meet.
